New Corona +ve cases tumble down to 959 in UP

Lucknow, Dec 27 (UNI) It took six months to number of fresh cases come under 1000 mark when just 959 cases were reported once again in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
On July 6, the state saw a rise of 933 fresh cases in a day and thereafter it creased substantially daily and in September last it even crossed 7000 fresh cases in a day.
According to officials here on Sunday now there are 15,371 positive cases in the state who are getting treatment in home isolation or in the hospitals.
The total positive cases touched 5,81,980 with this fresh 959 cases but the recovery rate too has crossed 95 per cent mark when 558303 people have recovered including 1391 today.
A total of 8306 people have succumbed to the virus including 13 today.
On Saturday, the labs in the state conducted 1,42,636 sample tests and now the total tests in the state so far was 2,33,83,697, which is highest in the country.
However, Lucknow continued to be the hotspot of Covid-19 and on Sunday, 199 fresh cases were reported along with three deaths.
