One of the most important documents for citizens of the country is the Aadhaar card. Aadhaar cards are demanded from citizens for almost every type of government work. The Aadhaar card is issued to Indian citizens by an institution called 'Unique Identification of India' (UIDAI).

It is often seen that some of the information entered in the Aadhaar card is wrongly recorded for some reason. Also, many times citizens change their place of residence, after which they have to enter the current address on the basis. UIDAI has provided the facility to the cardholder to update their information so that the citizens do not have to face inconvenience for doing all these tasks.

You can update this information from home

Aadhar cardholders can also update the name, address, date of birth, e-mail ID, mobile number, gender, and biometric in their card. Some of these tasks can be dealt with at home rather than going to an office. Home-based updates include information such as the name, address, date of birth, and gender of the cardholder.

The appointment will have to be taken from the Aadhar card center for these works

At the same time, one needs to visit the Aadhar card center to update the mobile number and email ID in the Aadhaar card. However, for this, an online appointment facility has been provided by the center, which saves the citizen from the hassle of long lines.

How to make an appointment

To get an appointment, first of all, visit UIDAI's website https://uidai.gov.in/.

Click on the 'My Aadhaar' tab, then click on 'Book an appointment'.

On the newly opened page, select the city/location and click on Proceed.

Now a new page will come on which you have to click on 'Processed to book an appointment'. In this, you have to choose one of the new Aadhaar, Aadhaar updates, and Manage appointments.

You can choose the option according to your need.

After choosing the option, now you have to generate OTP by entering the mobile number and captcha code. It is not necessary for the mobile number to be an Aadhaar register.

Once the OTP is verified, a form will appear in front of you. During this time you also have to choose the time slot for the appointment, then submit the application.

This entire process is completely free.
