ED summons Sanjay Raut's wife in PMC Bank fraud case

Mumbai, Dec 27 (UNI) Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut's wife, Varsha Raut, for an ongoing investigation in the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) Bank scam case.

Varsha Raut has been directed to appear before the central agency on December 29 pertaining to a Rs 50 lakh transaction she had made with the wife of another accused, Pravin Raut, in the case, which is under scanner, officials said on Sunday.

The transaction is said to be a loan borrowed by Varsha Raut for purchase of a property.
