Sony TV is coming up with a brand new period drama titled Punyashlok Ahilyabai, which is based on the iconic story of the legendary Ahilyabai Holkar, who managed to defy all odds and battle against societal norms in the 18th century with the support of her father-in-law Malhar Rao Holkar. Actor Rajesh Shringapure plays the role of the father-in-law.

He says, “I have previously played challenging roles like this but to perfect my character, I underwent onemonth training in horse-riding and sword-fighting. Now, I feel confident to portray this role.”
