New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) The farmers' agitation against the three new agri-reform laws continued on day 31 on Saturday, while security arrangements have been stepped up on the National Capital's borders where the farmers have been sitting in.

The farmers from Punjab, UP and other states are continuously protesting at the major borders of Delhi with a large number getting added by the day.

For the past two days farmers coming from Uttarakhand and more places in Western UP have reached Ghazipur to support their agitating brothers, who have alleged harassment by UP as well as Uttarakhand police who tried to block their way.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha is going to be held today, wherein the proposal of talks by the government and other issues will be discussed.

Farmers continue to stick to their demand of repealing the three new farm laws , while the agitation is now further intensifying amid the harsh weather conditions.

Borders adjoining Uttar Pradesh that are on NH-9 and NH-24 both are closed for Delhi to Ghaziabad due of farmer protests, while Singhu and other major border points with Haryana that were shut earlier remained closed due to the farmer agitation.
