Host of Punjabi leaders pay tributes to Mata Gujri ji

Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec 26 (UNI) SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur, Congress MP from Faridkot Mohd Sadiq, Punjab Cabinet Ministers Balbir Singh Sidhu and Sadhu Singh Dharamsot paid tributes to Mata Gujri Ji and younger sons(sahabjazas) of Guru Gobind Singh during second day of Jor Mela(Shaheedi Sabha).
Bibir Jagir Kaur paid tributes to sahibjadas and Mata Gujri during Istri Samelean organized by SGPC here.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said the Gurus blessed women with respect for equality in the society, which was a revolutionary step in itself. He said today women need to connect with their history and become the guardians of the thinking of Mata Gujri ji. She urged people to adhere to the Sikh code of conduct and live their lives accordingly.
Bibi Jagir Kaur also appealed to the entire Sikh community to be a part of the prayers to be held at 1300 hours at the conclusion of Nagar Kirtan fom Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurdwara Sri Jyoti Saroop tomorrow.
