New Year parties not allowed: Cyberabad police

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police on Friday said no New Year eve parties would be allowed on December 31 this year.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar said the police have not given any permission for any events or activities on December 31 to any group, organisers or associations.

“No gathering will be allowed in gated communities, hotels, resorts, farm houses, play grounds, stadiums or anywhere on December 31. Only the regular activity at the restaurants, hotels, pubs will be allowed under strict surveillance,” he said.

The Cyberabad Police will be conducting special drunk and driving checks and book cases. “Vehicles of persons who are found driving under the influence of alcohol will be seized. Road barriers will be placed on routes where over speeding or reckless driving cases are reported,” he said.

Cases would be booked and legal action initiated if anyone was found organising any event on December 31.
