The couple hosted their chiksa and mehendi ceremonies earlier this week. Sharing pictures of her mehendi, Gauahar wrote, “Writing our love story on each other’s hearts forever with the blessings of our family and friends and above all Allah. โค”
Announcing her wedding on Instagram, the actor had written, “The year 2020 has been anything but ordinary and our love story through it all has been nothing short of extraordinary! It gives us immense joy to announce that we are tying the knot and embarking on a journey of forever. Keeping the current scenario in mind, we will be celebrating the big day with our family in an intimate ceremony. We seek your blessings & love & are eternally grateful for the constant support & the outpour of warm wishes we have received. We hope for every soul to find its mate and pray for every heart to find itโs reason to beat. All our love, Gauahar and Zaid.”
Gauahar Khan had previously shared an animated video on Instagram, which detailed her love story with Zaid Dabar. She shared with her followers that the two bumped into each other during the lockdown as they shopped for groceries and hit it off instantly. They started texting and their dates comprised of long drives and Zoom calls.

From the time Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar officialised their relationship, speculations were rife about the huge age gap between them. While speaking to ET Times, the actor had opened up about the same and shared that while Zaid is younger to her, it's only a few years. She also added that Zaid was way more mature to her and has brought a sense of balance to her life.
"Let me clear this, the age difference that has come out is wrong. 12 years is wrong and it is very easy for people to make it news. But it is wrong. Yes, he is a few years younger than me but 12 is not the number. He is way more mature than I am and he has brought a sense of balance to my life. Judging and passing comments that the age gap can act as a barrier in a relationship is very easy, but Zaid and I have a similar kind of understanding and maturity. So, age never matters or hinders our relationship," she was quoted by the website.
Zaid Darbar's siblings Awez Darbar and Anam Darbar, along with Awez's girlfriend Nagma Mirajkar looked stunning at his wedding with Gauahar Khan. Their fan pages uploaded videos of their looks on social media.
Gauahar and Zaid have confessed to meeting and falling in love during the lockdown. What also helped them bond was their mutual love towards dance. The couple has matched steps together for a number of videos and shared it with their followers. Their first dance video was on "Illegal Weapon", which Gauahar had uploaded on August 11 on Instagram.
Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar sent out beautiful wedding cards to invite their close friends and family to their special day. Puneet Gupta, who designed the invite shared a glimpse of the card on Instagram. The white card with floral designs carried a beautiful message that read, "We hope for every soul to find its mate and pray for every heart to find it's reason to beat. All our love, Gauahar and Zaid."
Television producer Preeti Simoes, who is Gauahar Khan's best friend posted a heartfelt note on Instagram wishing her on her wedding. Sharing a few clicks of the couple with her, she wrote, " My Mr and Mrs .... Finally ! โค A ceremony that finally sealed the deal amongst such purity .. like angels were smiling on der best miracle."
