National Consumer Rights Day observed

Imphal, December 24 2020: National Consumer Rights Day was celebrated today at the office of Consumers' Club, Manipur today.

Speaking on the programme, T Phulchand Sharma, President of Consumers' Club Manipur said taking up steps to ensure that the rights of customers are not violated is something that cannot be neglected even in this crucial time of COVID-19 pandemic, said a statement released by Consumers' Club Manipur.

A discussion on the theme 'Sustainable Consumer' was also held as a part of the National Consumer Rights Day celebration, added the statement.

The statement alleged that no Government in the state has taken up any programs or schemes for the welfare of the consumers.
