Police are searching for a suspect after an early morning shooting that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Beaumont man, Christopher Damond Brown.

A murder warrant has been issued for Fredrick Carnell Harden. Police consider the 50-year-old Beaumont man armed and dangerous.

According to Beaumont Police Department, officers responded to the End-Zone Sports Lounge, located at 3430 Concord Road, in reference to a a shooting at around 1:55 a.m.

“When officers arrived they located the victim in the parking lot unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Witnesses advised that the suspect fled the scene prior to officers arrival,” BPD Sergeant Cody Guedry said in a release. “Beaumont EMS was summoned and pronounced the victim deceased. Judge Collins was notified and has ordered an autopsy.”

Harden also is wanted on another outstanding warrant, issued on Dec. 3, for aggravated assault.

Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation.
