BJD and BJP supporters clash in Bari

KENDRAPADA: Police on Thursday arrested three BJP supporters for allegedly attacking BJD workers and damaging 30 two-wheelers and one four-wheeler at the block office of Bari on Wednesday.
Some BJP supporters also gheraoed Debendra Das, representative of Bari MLA and senior BJD leader Sunanda Das, who did not attend a meeting between the two parties due to illness. The block chairman of Bari, Suvasini Sharma, a BJP leader, allegedly prevented Das from speaking at the meeting, leading to the clash between the supporters of the two parties, a source said. “We are investigating the case,” said Ajaya Jena, IIC of Bari police station.
