Ex-MLA of Mayang Imphal lampooned

Imphal, December 24 2020: The Mayang Imphal BJP Mandal has alleged that neglecting development work and indulging in petty politics by the then Congress MLA and ex Minister Kh Ratankumar were the major causes for his loss in the Assembly election of 2017.Speaking to media persons at the quarters of Deputy Speaker Kongkham Robindro, Irom Rabi, president Mayang Imphal BJP Mandal said that in just 3 years present MLA of the Constituency Kongkham Robindro has done much more than what the former MLA did in 10 years.

Following the footstep of the Deputy Speaker and increasing confidence in the BJP Government has made many Congress workers join BJP, said Rabi and added that this has made Congress to level baseless allegations against the former Congress workers.

He further said the claims made by the ex-Minister regarding the inauguration of District Hospital during his tenure was unfounded as the inauguration was just for name sake and the only work done at the hospital during his tenure was construction of boundary wall.

Irom Rabi further reiterated that irregularities in executing the Rs 20 crore worth power supply by workers of the former MLA led to the project being scrapped.

The project however has been resumed under the leadership of K Robindro, said Rabi and added that work is now at the final stage of completion.

Providing clean drinking water to every family in the Constituency will now become a reality, he added.

He also urged the ex-Minister to visit the areas in the Constituency and see which development programmes have been taken up and completed in the last three years and urged the people to support the intending BJP candidate in the upcoming Mayang Imphal municipality election to bring about development in the area.
