India to invite Afghanistan for next meeting at Chabahar port: Anurag Shrivastava

Afghanistan will also be invited for the next meeting of India, Iran, and Uzbekistan to jointly use the strategically important Chabahar port. Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava gave this information on Thursday.

He said that India will host this meeting and its dates are yet to be finalized. The first trilateral talks of India, Iran, and Uzbekistan were held on 14 December and discussed the possibility of joint use of the port to increase trade and regional connectivity. Srivastava said that Afghanistan is an important partner and will be called for the next meeting.
