Varanasi: Three persons arrested for posting advertisement for the sale of building housing the parliamentary constituency office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a sale and purchase site, were granted bail by the court of additional sessions judge-II Ashok Kumar Singh Yadav on Thursday.
The defence lawyer Anuj Yadav said that the court ordered to release the accused persons Jitendra Kumar Verma, Babulal Patel and Manoj Kumar Yadav on bail after submission of prescribed bonds and guarantees while date for hearing on the bail application of main accused Laxmikant Ojha was fixed as January 2.
He further said the court was informed that the building comprising PM’s parliamentary constituency office is owned by one Shyam Lohia, who is willing to sell it after rent period of the office will expire on March 31. All necessary documents were also produced to make it clear that no forged documents had been used for placing advertisement.
On December 18, Bhelupur police had lodged an FIR against Ojha and his three companions for posting the advertisement to sell the building in Jawahar Nagar Extension area.
