England returnee tests Covid +ve in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Dec 25 (UNI) A woman, who recently landed here from England, has tested COVID-19 positive, district administration said on Friday.
The tracing and testing is underway for 44 people who have returned here from England since November 25, it underscored.
The list of these passengers was sent by the state government after the United Kingdom reported a new strain of the Coronavirus, it added.
The District Task Force today held a meet to discuss on the ways to handle the travellers who have recently visited the UK.
Of 44 passengers, 11 have undergone RT-PCR test and a woman among them was found to be infected, apprised Aurangabad civic body health officer Dr Nita Padalkar.
The woman is currently in stable condition and her sample has been sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for further medical diagnosis, she told.
She further said that special arrangements have been made at the Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital for the
England returnees testing Corona positive.
The passengers testing negative and suspects will be kept at The ONE Hotel in the city for segregation, she added.
Meanwhile, Collector Sunil Chavan has appealed to the passengers who have travelled from England in the last few days to report to the district authorities or the municipal administration.
