SHEIPAL announces awardees

Imphal, December 24 2020: Sheihek Sheireng Sheipal Shemgat Lup (SHEIPAL) announced recipients of their annual awards today.

Lifetime Achievement Award-2020, an award presented to a distinguished Manipuri lyricists will be presented to lyricist Rajamani Nongthombam and Dr Mayengbam Kamala Sheirol Mana-2020 an award also given to lyricist will be given to lyricist Jatisor Tongbram for his song 'Leichilgi Phijang Haidoktuna'.

Rajamani Nongthombam has published books of poems and short stories and has been honoured with various awards including 'Kavi Rataa, 2015', 'Henphathoiraba Ayiba, 2014', and Sheirengba Ullen Meetei Ningshing Mana-2017 for his contribution to Manipuri literature.

Jatisor Tongbram has published 5 anthologies of poems and has been honoured with various awards including 'Kavya Bhushan, 2014', and 'Sahitya Ratana, 2014' amongst others.

SHEIPAL said the awards will be presented at a special seating to be held on December 31 at Manipur Press Club.
