Bob Newhart Reflects on His Classic Role in 'Elf'!

Bob Newhart always knew his film Elf was going to be a hit!
The 91-year-old actor recently reflected on the success of the iconic Christmas movie, which stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human raised by Santa’s elves who sets out to find his biological father in New York City. Bob plays Buddy’s adoptive father Papa Elf.

Bob told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s been phenomenal. When they sent me the script [for Elf], I said to my wife, “Honey, this is going to be a perennial. This is going to be like Miracle on 34th Street.” And that is exactly what happened. That is a wonderful thing, to be part of kids’ enjoyment of the Christmas season.”
