Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said the state government under his regime has pioneered a revolution on all fronts. He quoted the success of 7.5 per cent quota for govt school students and kudimaramathu schemes as examples.

Taking great pride in passing of NEET quota Bill in the Assembly, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said the ruling AIADMK has helped students of the economically weaker section realise their dreams of becoming doctors. It was certainly a phenomenal achievement by the government, the Chief Minister said while taking part in family function of VM Rajalakshmi, Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare in her constituency of Sankarankovil on Wednesday.
Further, he said since agriculture is the major occupation in Sankarankovil, water bodies including lakes, ponds and creeks were brought under ‘kudimaramathu’ scheme and these water bodies have been desilted to help farmers get adequate storage of rainwater.
Further addressing the people, the Chief Minister said when it comes to AIADMK, the party reminded people of late stalwarts MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa, who were former chief ministers who led the party and kept winning ways. The two big stalwarts laid foundation and let the party, which is live, energetic and to prosper well.
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who also took part in the programme, told reporters that the ruling AIADMK would retain power by achieving a massive victory CM to meet health experts on Dec 28 Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami is set to meet health experts on December 28 to discuss about the new mutant variant of COVID-19 and to extend lockdown.
“Chief Minister will get the expert opinion on the new strain of COVID-19 vaccine from the panel of health experts appointed by the state government. Chief Minister will also seek opinion on extension of next phase of lockdown from January 1,” said sources in Secretariat. After the new strain of COVID-19 virus was found out in UK, all flights from UK were banned by the state. However, one of the passengers from UK who reached Chennai via Delhi tested positive for COVID-19.
