Shramajivi Sanghatana launches youth wing

Thane, Dec 24 (UNI) The Shramajivi Sanghatana on Thursday launched Shramajivi Seva Dal in a function at Usgaon near Vasai town on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sane Guruji, the great reformer.
The SSD is the offshoot of the Sanghatna, which has been fighting for the rights of the tribals in the state for over 40 years.
The SSD will comprise of young brigade of youths, who will train the youths in social activities and also help the society in all activities and at the time of crisis, it was stated.
Addressing the gathering, Shramajivi Sanghatana founder Vivek Pandit said that around 350 SSD volunteers, trained at the educational campus of the Vidhayak Sansad in Usgaon, will go to villages in the districts of Thane, Raigad, Palghar and Nashik, and give support to the Sanghatana, he added.
