Gal Gadot starrer 'Wonder Woman 1984' was one of the most awaited films of 2020. The superhero follow-up of the 2017 hit DC film released in India today and will release in select theaters and on HBO Max on December 25.
One question that is on everyone's mind while planning to watch 'Wonder Woman 1984' is whether they have to sit through the end credits or an extra scene.
Director Patty Jenkins, in a podcast chat with Reelblend revealed with a simple "yes" that the Wonder Woman sequel does have a post-credits scene which the original 2017 didn't have.
Jenkins said, "Let that be something to save for the audience," Jenkins said, elaborating on why the scene was intentionally excluded from the early press version. "Just because, god forbid, somebody writes about it -- you're like, 'Well, then what fun was it? Now we should have just attached it to the end of the movie!'"
During her chat, Jenkins did not give any hints on what is on the post-credits scene but based on her stance on a third Wonder Woman film and a spinoff focused on hidden island Themyscira's Amazon warriors, it'll stick to the Jenkins Wonder Woman-specific story.
"I think that there are people out there doing great mash-up movies,. That's not my cup of tea. I love a very powerful singular story. You never know if something will come along that will make us feel like that would be intrinsic to the story, but I would never do it for any other reason," Jenkins said at Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) last weekend.
