Palghar lynching case: 19 more arrested

Palghar, Dec 23 (UNI) The State Crime Branch have arrested 19 more people for their alleged involvement in infamous case of mob lynching at Gadchinchale village of the district.
They were arrested on Tuesday and on Wednesday produced before a magistrate who remanded them into the magisterial custody.
Giving this information, advocate Amrut Adikari, counsel for the accused, said that five juveniles were also detained by the police and they have been sent to the Juvenile court at Bhiwandi.
The State CID have so far arrested 248 accused persons and detained 15 juveniles in this case.
Of the total arrests, 105 are out on bail while the bail of 36 others has been rejected.
The bail applications of other accused will be heard in the first week of January, next year.
It may be recalled that three people, including two seers, were allegedly lynched by a mob of villagers on suspicion of being thieves or child lifters in April.
