Pramod Boro-led coalition wins BTC floor test

Guwahati, Dec 24 (UNI) The Pramod Boro-led coalition government of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) today proved it's a majority in a floor test.
The newly sworn-in government had 22 out of 40 members of the BTC voting in their favour, which was conducted through a show of hands.
The Bodoland People's Front (BPF), which had emerged as the single largest party, demanded secret voting in the floor test, but the Speaker refused to allow it.
The BPF members created noisy scenes in the Assembly when the Speaker proceeded with the show of hands.
The coalition government is led by Boro's UPPL, consisting of BJP and GSP, with the lone Congress member also joining the coalition.
