Rural awareness programme conducted

Imphal, December 22 2020: A two day Rural Awareness Programme was held at Lainingthou Puthiba Community Hall in Pourabi organised by Regional Directorate Imphal, Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers Education and Development (DTNBWED), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

As a part of the programme, Retired Lecturer TG Higher Secondary Imphal, Ananda spoke on 'Eradication of Social Evils', "Need and Importance of Self Help Group' and 'Problems of Agri Marginal and its remedial measures' yesterday.

MN Salam, Director DTNBWED, KK Singh former Regional Director of DTNBWED, Wahengbam Premila, secretary of Pourabi Lamjing Nupi Marup and Maibam Lembi, Lecturer of Lamlai HR Secondary School attended today's concluding function.

Resource persons spoke in detail about health hygiene and Covid Awareness, work culture, skill development and income generation and State and Central welfare schemes and made the villagers understand its importance.

MN Salam stated that the programme is conducted with an aim to spread awareness among the villagers about the important things in day to day life.

The programme is funded by the Government and is beneficial where one can avail stipend for participating, he added.
