AMRITSAR: To extend support to the protesting farmers, Amritsar mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu along with Congress councilors observed one day hunger-strike on Wednesday in Rambagh Gardens ( Company Bagh).
“We are supporting the genuine demands of our farmers. The three laws passed by Modi government are not only anti-farmers but also unconstitutional” alleged he while talking to media persons. He said , the central government must revoke these laws immediately.
Rintu further said that if BJP was really serious about resolving the issue, then the Center government must stop its cadre from labeling farmers as naxalites and terrorists.
He asserted that those who had not won a single election in their life were allegedly misleading people through false and malicious propaganda.
