Safaricom cuts M-Pesa tariff for smaller transactions

Safaricom has reduced M-Pesa tariffs by up to 45 percent for lower value transaction bands. It said the decision was taken in consideration of the expiry of zero-rated M-Pesa transactions, the Covid-19 pandemic and economic circumstances. The reductions will affect more than 90 percent of all customer transactions when sending money.
