MLC Satish Chavan appointed to Executive Council of Marathwada Agricultural University for 3rd time in row

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Dec 23 (UNI) Satish Chavan, MLC of Marathwada Graduate Constituency, has been appointed on the Executive Council of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University for the third time in a row.
Under section 30 (a) (1) (13) of the Maharashtra Agricultural University Act, the Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council has appointed MLC Chavan to fill a vacancy on the Executive Council of the University.
Umesh Shinde, under secretary, state Assembly, on Wednesday handed over the appointment letter to Mr Chavan.
Notably, Mr Chavan was appointed to the same post twice earlier.
During this tenure, Mr Chavan has had not only made available huge funds to the Agriculture University from then Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar for purpose of research but also provided physical facilities.
