Punjab: 34 fresh Covid-19 cases, 27 discharges reported in Ambala

AMBALA: Ambala district reported 34 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on the day and the total case tally now reached 11,313 with 253 active cases, said Dr Singh.
He said Ambala City reported 14 cases, followed by Ambala Cantt and Chourmastpur (5 each), Mullana and Shahzadpur (4 each), and Barara and Naraingarh (1 each.)
As many as 27 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 10,917 with a recovery rate of 96.50%, he said.
He added that a total of 143 deaths have been reported in the district so far with a mortality rate of 1.25% and a case doubling rate is 250 days.
“So far, we have collected 1,75,993 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 1,37,263 are RT-PCR samples and 38,730 are antigen testing kit samples. In Ambala, we have collected 1,56,022 samples per 10 lakh population, said Dr Singh.
