The Bombay high court recently heard a case filed seeking suspension of Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account. The court then observed that Kangana Ranaut had the fundamental right to express her thoughts. The court even asked the petitioner to prove that his fundamental rights were breached with her tweets. The petitioner in response then stated that he had suffered ‘personal mental injury’. The court, however, did not dispose of the petition and sought that the ’vague’ petition be converted into a Public Interest Litigation. The court has also urged the petitioner to come up with fresh arguments on the next hearing which is on January 7. For the unversed, the plea seeking suspension of Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account was filed by a lawyer named Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, who has filed multiple cases against the actor already. Reportedly, he mentioned in the petition that Kangana used terms like 'pappu sena' for the court, which ultimately hurt his sentiments. He also alleged that Kangana's tweet was spreading animosity between communities, spreading hate and damaging the integrity of the country.
