NEW DELHI: Oppo is all set to add another smartphone to its Reno series. The company has already confirmed that it will launch the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ smartphone in China on December 24.

Now, ahead of the official launch, the camera details of the smartphone surfaced online.

The company has now confirmed that the Oppo Reno 5 Pro plus will sport a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX766 sensor. The company also confirmed via a Weibo post that the smartphone will house a quad-rear camera setup. Oppo has also revealed that it has worked in association with Sony in order to develop the sensor. It is also said that the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ will be the first smartphone in the world to come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor.


The company also shared an image of the upcoming smartphone which confirms that it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and come with 65W fast charging support. The smartphone will feature a similar rear camera design like the recently launched Oppo Reno5 Pro.


The smartphone also received TENAA certification recently. As per the TENAA listing, the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ will come with a 16MP super wide-angle lens, 13MP telephoto lens and 2MP macro shooter. The front will house a 32MP camera for selfies.


The handset is expected to feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with punch-hole design and curved edges. The device is said to pack 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone is also said to come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.


Recently, Oppo launched the budget smartphone Oppo A15s in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 11,490 and it can be purchased in three colour options — Dynamic black, Fancy white and Rainbow silver.
