Microsoft develping ARM chips for servers, Surface PCs - report

Microsoft has started designing ARM processors for data centres, Bloomberg reported, citing sources. The company plans to run half of its Azure cloud services on hardware based on ARM architecture. A spokesperson for Microsoft said the company is continuously investing in research and development, but did not want to comment specifically on the reports.
