Bodies of man, woman found in Queensland home after young boy raises alarm
Detectives have launched a homicide investigation after the bodies of a man and woman were found at a home in Townsville's south on Tuesday morning after a suspected murder-suicide, with the alarm raised by a young boy who had been home at the time.
Emergency services were called to Fulham Road in Gulliver about 9.15am after the boy headed to a neighbour's house, Detective Inspector David Miles told reporters.
The pair, both aged in their 40s, appeared to have known each other. No one else was injured.
Though police have not ruled out the involvement of another person, Inspector Miles said all indications so far suggested this was not the case.
A crime scene has been declared and an autopsy will determine the pair's cause of death.
