Cold makes state shiver, Daltonganj coolest at six degrees

Ranchi, Dec 22 (UNI) The cold winds coming from the Himalayas is making the people of the state shiver in cold.
Including the capital city of Ranchi almost all the districts are battling severe winter conditions and mercury in the capital is declining day by day and is hovering around 7 degrees mark.
The Ranchi MET department said that Daltonganj was the coolest at 6.1 degrees while Chaibasa was the hottest with a maximum temperature of 26 degrees.
In other districts like Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Giridih and Dhanbad the minimum temperature was in the range of 6-7 degrees.
Scientist at the local MET department Abhishek Anand said that the cold waves will continue to make the state under their influence, however, from Wednesday the temperature in Ranchi might change and the minimum can range around 9 degrees while the maximum temperatures will be around 24 degrees.
He said that during this period the sky will remain clear and there were also no signs of the hog. In other districts also the minimum temperature is likely to move up by one or two degrees.
