MP CM to take stock of projects every month

Bhopal, Dec 21 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will henceforward review major development projects on monthly basis, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician on Monday appraised – via the Pragati portal – enterprises in progress.

“Departments concerned should provide approvals without delay and there must be no compromise vis-à-vis quality of work. Rapid monetary compensation ought to be ensured for project-affected people,” the veteran leader averred in the context of the Public Health Engineering, Energy and Mineral Resources departments.

The Rs 237.57-crore Bandol group water supply scheme in Seoni District envisages tap water for 206 villages. Directives were issued to complete the Rs 1,786-cr Transmission and Distribution System Upgradation Project by June 2021. The work is being done in collaboration with Asian Development Bank. The Rs 2,100-cr Green Energy Corridor Project for Renewable Energy aims at generating 5,800 MW through solar, wind, micro hydro power and biomass-based schemes.

MP CM’s focus on ‘swarozgar’ for youth

Bhopal, Dec 21 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Monday that self-employment schemes will be modified in such manner that talented youngsters and those engaged in small trades have respectable means of livelihood plus financial security, official sources said.
During a state-level rural street vendors’ credit disbursal programme at the imposing Minto Hall here, the senior politician electronically transferred interest-free amounts of Rs 10,000 each to 20,000 beneficiaries. The government stands as guarantor.

MP’s Plantation Act contains sweeping changes

Bhopal, Dec 21 (UNI) Under Madhya Pradesh’s proposed Plantation Promotion Act, cultivators and others will be allowed to undertake logging on their fields/private acreage without seeking permission and they shall be able to plant saplings of any species, it was officially learnt.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired a related meeting at Mantralaya on Monday.
