    Nasdaq opens higher on Apple boost, stimulus optimism

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 106.25 points, or 0.35% to 30,110.24.

    The Nasdaq gained on Tuesday, propped up by Apple on an exclusive report that it was planning car and battery production, as well as the approval of a coronavirus stimulus package.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 106.25 points, or 0.35% to 30,110.24.

    The S&P 500 fell 3.42 points, or 0.09%, at 3,691.50, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 44.70 points, or 0.35%, to 12,786.52.
