UP government on Monday issued a detailed plan to implement the Covid-19 vaccination plan in the districts. Notified by additional chief secretary, health and family welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad, the order was issued to all district collectors, CMOs and police chiefs. It clearly stated that vaccination will be conducted in three phases. In the first phase, health workers would be covered while the second phase would cover other
Covid warriors, including cops and those engaged in essential supplies. In the third phase, people above 50 years and those below them with co-morbid conditions will be vaccinated.
The order also said that Covid-19 vaccines would be administered from 1,500 sites in the first phase, expected to begin early next year. The sites include government hospitals, community health centres and block-level primary health centres.
Private hospitals having a staff of more than 100 may also be selected as the site. The order also states that only 100 persons would be vaccinated at a single centre every day.
The order also describes the constitution of the district teams for the task along with the arrangements for storage and security of the Covid vaccine.

It also directs the constitution of district, tehsil and block-level task forces to undertake preparations for the campaign.
