Commission Agents call for 4-day strike from Dec 22

Moga, Dec 21 (UNI) In response to a call given by State Body of Commission Agents,
establishments of commission agents will be observing four days strike and the mandis in the
state will also remain closed in protest against raids upon the premises of an agent by Directorate of
Enforcement on the night of Saturday.
This was announced here Monday by Vijay Kalra State President of Arhtiyas Federation that the enforcement directorate conducted raid on his premises on Saturday night. He alleged his premises were raided to harass them for extending support to 'Farmers Agitation' and to weaken the agitation.
He said federation would continue support to farmers agitation against new farm laws. He also said such raids are being conducted to suppress the voice of those in favour of democracy .
Mr Kalra also said it was not proper to conduct raids during night as those raids are revengeful in nature. UNI XC GS SY 1909
