Rs 1.41 Cr collected as fines till Dec 19

Imphal, December 20 2020: Till yesterday, Manipur Police pulled up 1,04,657 people for violation of COVID-19 SOP and guidelines, and also 51,850 vehicles for not complying with the Motor Vehicle Act.

A total of Rs 1.41 crore has been collected as fine from the defaulters, informed a source.

Thoubal district police pulled up 43,551 people and 17,379 vehicles for defying COVID-19 SOP and the Motor Vehicle Act and they collected Rs 37,02,880 as fines from the defaulters.

Today too, Thoubal district police pulled up 95 people for not wearing face mask at public places and they were fined Rs 8,040 in total.

Khongjom police station pulled up 17 vehicles for violating Motor Vehicle Act and the owners were fined Rs 11,300, informed the source.
