NEET successful students feted

Bishnupur, December 20 2020: The Irengbam Culture and Sports Association has today felicitated Irengbam Purushottam Singh who cleared the last National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and finished 53rd in the State ranking.

The felicitation programme to honour I Purushottam, bom to late Irengbam Ibomcha Singh and Irengbam Ongbi Radhe Devi, was held at Irengbam Makha Maning Leimai community hall in the presence of former MLA of Oinam Assembly Constituency, Dr I Ibohanbi Singh; Pradhan of Irengbam Gram Panchayat, I Gopen Singh; Social worker, Kh Jiban Singh and other imminent personalities of the region as dignitaries.

The speakers on the occasion expressed pride on the emergence of such meritorious students at the locality and encouraged Purushottam to do best in his study.

The student was also encouraged with a monetary assistance of Rs 76,550 contributed by the Irengbam Culture and Sports Association and well wishers at the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr I Ibohanbi said that it was of immense pride to see many students from the region achieve big and do significant things.

While stressing and praising the role of Doctors, he also wished Purushottam to serve the people with dedication and sincerity after attaining the title of a Doctor.

Doctors are regarded as the second god and may the student serve the people of the village and Manipur at large at his best, the former MLA said while encouraging the student with a sum of Rs 10,000 from his end.
