Nine panchayat members alongwith dozens of associates joins Apni Party

Srinagar, Dec 21 (UNI) The Apni Party (AP) on Monday claimed that nine panchayat members alongwith dozens of associates from central Kashmir district of Ganderbal joined the party.

A spokesman of the AP said in a statement here this afternoon that nine Panchayat members alongwith dozens of their associates from Block Kangan district Ganderbal on Monday joined AP at its Srinagar office.



The Panchayat representatives who joined the party include Mehraj-ud-Din Bhat Panch, Abdul Ahad Mir, Siama Bano Panch, Shareefa Bano, Tahira Bano, Abdul Majeed Bijran, Manzoor Ahmad Siyam besides prominent political activists of the area Manzoor Ahmad Gakhad Margund and Ghulam Hassan Siyam Margund.



Dozens of associates of the Panchayat representatives also joined the Party on this occasion who were welcomed by the Party’s provincial president Kashmir. The newly joined Panchayat members stated that AP’s socio-economic and developmental agenda motivated them to work under its banner for the welfare of the people in their respective areas.



Addressing the occasion, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir welcomed the new entrants into the party-fold and hoped that they will work relentlessly for redressal of public grievances. “The Party will support you all in your efforts to lessen the miseries and sufferings of people. I also hope and believe that you all will work tirelessly to make the people aware about the Party’s agenda and its commitment to empower the people in J&K,” Mir remarked.



Speaking on the occasion, the new entrants avowed to extend full cooperation and work indefatigably in their areas in strengthening of the Party cadre so as to mitigate the sufferings of the people in their respective areas.
