The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is currently investigating a drug case in Bollywood and has been investigating actors, producers and others related to the industry. As part of the ongoing investigation, the NCB on Monday conducted had called comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa in connection with the seizure of ganja from their residence. As part of the ongoing investigation, the NCB conducted a raid at comedian Bharti Singh’s Mumbai residence. After the raid, the couple were summoned by the agency for questioning and later arrested. During the raid, the officials had found 65 grams of a green leafy substance that was later tested as ganja, from the production house in Versova. 21.5 grams of ganja was found from Bharti and Haarsh’s residence in Andheri. An unaccounted amount of Rs 1.49 lakh in cash was also recovered from the house.
Bharti was sent under judicial custody for 14 days till December 4. She was granted bail on November 23. Bharti had admitted to consuming anti-narcotics substances procured by her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, said the NCB in its official statement after her arrest.
On December 21, apart from Bharti and Haarsh, Arjun Rampal was also summoned. He reached before the officials around 12:30 pm at the NCB office.
