Netflix’s Locke and Key has been renewed for season 3, months before the premiere of season 2. The streaming service had renewed the show for a second season back in March and it is expected to debut next year.

As reported by Variety, executive producer and co-showrunner of Locke and Key, Meredith Averill, has signed an overall deal with Netflix for TV and other projects. Averill said, “I’m incredibly grateful to have found a home at Netflix where I feel constantly supported, challenged and inspired. I look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship.”
Her fellow co-showrunner Carlton Cuse said, “We have some incredible adventures in store for the Locke family in season 3, and could not be more excited to continue telling our story with our great partners at Netflix.”
