MP CM’s focus on tribal education

Bhopal, Dec 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Sunday that tribal children will no longer have to venture far from their native places in order to quench their thirst for higher learning as colleges shall be established in adivasi-dominated areas, official sources said.
The senior politician dedicated to the people a Government Degree College building having 30 rooms and constructed at an expense of Rs 65 lakh at Ladkui village in Sehore District’s Nasrullaganj Tehsil. From the next academic session, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce courses shall also commence at that institution.

Loans for more pedlars in MP

Bhopal, Dec 20 (UNI) In continuation of the Madhya Pradesh dispensation’s endeavours towards welfare of the underprivileged; interest-free credit of Rs 10,000 each will be electronically disbursed on Monday to approximately 20,000 individuals by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan under a scheme for rural hawkers.
The programme shall commence at 1500 hrs in the state capital’s imposing Minto Hall and the senior politician shall also interact with beneficiaries of some districts via videoconferencing. The function may be viewed in social media, an official release said.

MP CM launches Rs 300-cr Welpsun unit

Bhopal, Dec 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday inaugurated the Welspun Group’s pipes, plates and coils manufacturing plant – completed by incurring an expenditure of Rs 300 crore – at Jamunia Khejda village in the vicinity of neighbouring Raisen District’s Diwanganj, it was officially learnt.
The factory will directly or indirectly employ approximately 1,500 individuals.

HP Guv gives assent to new legislation against forced conversion

Shimla, Dec 20(UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya has given assent to the Himachal Pradesh Religious Fredom Act, the act was passed in state legislative assembly last year to deter ‘forced conversion’.
