Open Fiber activates gigabit FTTH service in Seregno

Open Fiber has completed the cabling of its FTTH infrastructure in the first 2,600 premises in the town of Seregno in the northern Lombardy region. The wholesale-only operator, which aims to connect around 15,000 premises throughout the municipal area in a total investment of around EUR 5 million, said the network will enable local 85 percent residents and businesses to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps by 2022.
