Gavin Hunt admits that while the current campaign has been stressful there is still a long way to go before the season comes to an end.
Kaizer Chiefs have won just one DStv Premiership game while drawing four and losing three.
They did, however, progress to the First Round of the Champions League where they face Primeiro de Agosto on Wednesday.
And speaking ahead of their clash, Hunt revealed he will keep plugging away until result improve.
He was reported by Soccer Laduma as saying: "Yes, (it is the most stressful time in my career) it’s only been seven games but it certainly hasn't been easy, but also it's gone against us a little bit but sometimes you have to work harder for those things.
"I know where the problems are, but we have to (turn the corner), we have to keep battling away and that is all you can do in football, we can't change anything so we have to do the best we can.
"We've got to try and improve defensively if you want to come out of a rut you've got to get better defensively and I always say, rather draw 0-0 than draw 2-2, it might be negative but I don't think so, you need to certainly be a bit harder to beat."
