PTFC-19, other organisations continue to sensitize public

Imphal, December 20 2020: Awareness drive conducted by People's Task Force for COVID-19 (PTFC-19) in association with Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State Branch; Indian Medical Association and Association for Health Care Providers of India (AHPI) to sensitize public at various localities went on with the bodies sensitising public of Narankonjin today.

The awareness programme held at Narakonjin Lai Haraobung community hall, was conducted in collaboration with Nongchup Imphal Palem Apunba Nupi Lup (NIMPAL), Narankonjil Sports Club and Heibok Nupi Samaj Kanba Lup, Langthabal Branch, said a statement PTFC-19 .

BK Moirangcha, convenor PTFC-19; Irengbam Robindro Singh, president SAYDF, Imphal West; The Ibeyaima Devi president, NIMPAL; Thounaojam Joy, Retd Marshal of Assembly; Thounaojam Gopeshwor Singh, president NSC; Soraisam Purmina Devi, president NIMPAL Langthabal Branch and Dr Sunil, Treasurer IRCS Manipur State Branch attended the awareness programme as presidiummembers and resource persons.

Another similar programme was organised at Langthabal Khoupum community hall in association with NIMPAL Branch Khoupum where BK Moirangcha; N Bimol, coconvenor PTFC-19; Kh Jadu, vice-chairman, IRCS 17 W Branch; Ibeyaima president NIMPAL and Gilmei Thoibi, member Langthabal Khoupum Women Society as presidium members and resource persons, it said.

Speakers at the programmes held at different venues, while detailing about the COVID-19 stressed on the need to keep observing the safety measures even as the vaccines for disease have been produced across the globe.

They maintained that all should not neglect the safety guidelines as no one knows exactly when the vaccines will be available to the public.

Since the efficacy of these vaccines are not widely examined, all should be very careful, they continued.

Such drives to sensitize the public about COVID-19 will be continued at other localities, the statement continued.
