Patna, Dec 21(UNI) Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member
of BJP Sushil Kumar Modi today came in defence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi
after attack by a RJD leader that Mr Gandhi was a non serious leader, saying leader
of the opposition Tejaswi Prasad Yadav was also a non serious leader as he had
remained absent during Assembly session last year without informing Speaker and
also on several other occasions when he should have been in the state.
Mr Modi tweeted that Mr Gandhi was unnecessarily being targeted by RJD for being
non serious as Mr Yadav was also no better.
If any RJD leader thought that Mr Gandhi appeared during natural calamities and
elections only treating these events as opportunities of political tourism, what could be
said about Mr Yadav who remained absent during floods, Assembly session and also
when hundreds of children had died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in
Muzaffarpur and other districts of Bihar last year but surfaced during recently held
Bihar Assembly Elections, he added.
BJP leader said when RJD had failed to open its account in last Lok Sabha elections
in 2019, Congress had bagged one seat of Kishanganj.
RJD had then no complaint and grievances against Mr Yadav, he pointed out and
added that RJD had also lost its appeal among people after the party opposed bill in
parliament, brought for providing 10 percent reservation to poor among upper castes
in government services.
RJD was also repeating same mistake by opposing agriculture reforms act, aimed
at increasing the income of farmers, he remarked.
