MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwor inspects water supply schemes

Kakching, December 19 2020: Kakching Assembly Constituency MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwor inspected the water supply schemes under construction in Kakching district, today.

He also inspected sites for the construction of new water supply schemes.

The visit to Irengband Mairembam Water supply, Sora Water supply and Pallel Water supply was ac companied by Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Kakching Division, Executive Engineer RK Surendra; Assistant Engineer Md Abdul Jabar and other Section officers of the department.

MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwor lauded the Chief Minister N Biren Singh and PHED Minister Losii Dhikho for taking up various projects in Kakching AC.

The new project for supplying potable water is essential for the welfare of the people.

The facility for testing the presence of chemicals like arsenic in the water will also be added to the water supply schemes, he added.

MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwor also stated his first salary after becoming the MLA of Kakching AC has been used to order solar street lamps from MANIREDA and will be installed in different areas under the assembly constituency.

PHED Kakching Divi sion Executive engineer RK Surendra stated that the in spection was carried out as a part of the Jal Jeevan Mis sion (JJM) .

The construction of Irengband Mairembam Water supply scheme will be completed and the supply of potable water will begin shortly.

The constructions for the Sora and Pallel wa ter supply will also be completed soon, he added.

RK Surendra further stated that 3 new schemes at Loushipat, Sora Karanchi and Bijoypur under the New Development Bank (NDB) have also been proposed.
