New executive body of NPO takes charge

Senapati, December 19 2020: With the end of the tenure, 2018-2020, new executives of the Naga People's Organization (NPO), assumes responsibility from today for the tenure, 2021-23 .

The oath of secrecy for the new executives were administered by T Moses Kamba, chief election commissioner NPO, in the presence of tribe president, Senapati District Students Association (SDSA), Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA), Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) and other public figures of Senapati district.

Pastors from different churches under the Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) blessed the newly inducted executives of the NPO.

As a part of the pro gramme, former executives of the organisa tion Adani David Choro, vice-president; Ch Parang, general secretary; S Robin, assistant general secretary; Marahang Ngiimai, finance secretary; M Ariijii John, customary law secretary and treasurer, T Ngouning were feted.

The new team of the organization would be led by Solomon Arow as presi dent; Jonah Mao K general secretary; RK Philip, finance secretary; Ng Sounii Khapa, infor mation & publicity secretary and A Kaiho, art & culture secretary.

Solomon Arow, the newly elected president expressed his gratitude to God and thanked the tribe presidents, the Senapati District Students Associa tion (SDSA), the Senapati District Women's Associa tion (SDWA) and SKABU pastors for their unwaver ing support and cooperation.

Ch Parang, former general secretary of NPO also mentioned that he witnessed a remarkable change in the functioning of the organisation under the leadership of Solomon Arow as the president.

He asserted that the or ganization has conducted different programs, impor tant meetings and other important activities for the welfare of the district.
