MADURAI: A software engineer from Madurai city was found murdered in his house near Uthangudi on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as A Kumarandass, 43, from Lourdhu Nagar in K Pudur. He worked in a software company at Mattuthavani.
A police source said that his wife K Josaphine and two daughters stayed in Trichy.
Kumarandoss stayed on the first floor of a house in Uthangudi on rent a few months ago.
Recently, he hired a migrant worker Naveen to cook and manage household chores.
On Sunday morning, when Kumarandoss’s landlord Natarajan called him, there was no response.
Following this, Natarajan went to check him. He found the main door open and spotted Kumarandoss dead with blood stains all over the body. Naveen was missing.
A police team from K Pudur police station led by inspector Thilagavathi reached the spot and conducted an inquiry.
Deputy commissioner of police (law and order) R Shiva Prasad too visited the house and conducted an inquiry.
