Gavin Hunt credited his side's performance while bemoaning the result as Kaizer Chiefs drew 1-1 with Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.
Anthony Akumu opened the scoring for Amakhosi at the FNB Stadium just eight minutes into the mtach.
Chiefs though were unable to convert any one of their further nine chances at goal before Tumelo Mangweni levelled with 67 minutes on the clock.
Speaking after the game, Hunt told SuperSport: "I thought good performance, first-half very good you know. We've had some great opportunities, if you make it 2-0, 3-0 then it's much easier.
"The longer it stays at 1-0, they had one chance the whole game and they scored.
That's pretty much what has been the story of our season so far.
"So disappointed but with what we have, you know we're making progress."
The result left Chiefs in 12th place on the DStv Premiership standings with one win, four draws and three losses.
